I don't understand this comment. What gets trashed and why?
I am familiar with the larger front sprocket allowing the chain to hit the back side of the primary and trans but have not heard of any issues with the inside.

He means the part where the starter bolts on, with a 24T and an O ring chain it will eat the primary away at that point.
i run a 24T and a non-O ring chain and all is well...just.

I figured as much but he said inside primary. That and I don’t understand why an oring chain would cause a clearance issue.

Because that are is part of the inner primary cover I guess...O Ring chains are wider, as well as taller as the witness marks on my inner primary will attest.
