I bought a pan to keep the mess off from the garage floor. I would give the FXS a swat with a news paper and rub the headlight in it's mess but it was just not catching on.
Since I sold my 2021 RK this FXS will be my primary rider. Went to go for a spin so I checked the fluids. There was only a couple of ounces in the transmission so I filled it and it is leaking at an unacceptable rate. Also the out drive sprocket has drag but thought maybe some one had crammed a cork seal in there. I was told that all fluids were changed, every thing worked and the bike was ready to ride. The engine had one quart of oil in it and the oil was black. He said the transmission did not leak. Most of the things that he told me were not true. So I better at least pull the transmission and check it out. I need a couple of surgeries and one is in a couple of weeks, I better not take it apart until I get through this stuff. Did not even get to ride this year.
The drive sprocket has quite a bit if drag on it. It should spin free. If run low on oil there may be damage ? I do not want to cause more damage by running it. If it was just the leak I would not be as concerned.
