having an issue with the fit of a couple of 2up seats Ive picked up, ones a mustang and the others a lepera, both listed for 64-84 FL/FX, when I fit them up to my 77 fxs they over hang the sides of the fender on both sides by a good bit. Is this just the way they are? Could my fx that has a stock (appearing) rear fender have a narrower fender than it should? Any insight appreciated
hi, heres the fender, excuse the rubbish angles, she is currently on the corner of the room while I sort some space in my shed, annoyingly it sits lovely on my 73flh but its got a pogo seat and not being changed
Bare fender Fender from the side From the side with sear Seat wider than fender Over hang
To get the width, it will need to overhang. I have two seats, one is a Corbin but you really couldn't put a passenger on there for more than a few miles, I have a touring seat that overlaps.

fair enough with the width, however my concern is that I wouldnt exactly say that these seats fit given the over hang, was more wondering if this is just the way they are for fx models, may have to widen a fender to to same width as an fl/wideglide to get it to sit the way I want
I replaced my original with a Mustang Square Back. It doesnt seem to overhang too much. The Mustang site has width specs for rider and passenger. Could be your seat is wider on rear than 7" this Square Back
