I don't know what you would call it much less a source, so I think I want to put one on my 1984 FXE. This is one of those switches that goes on the Negative battery cable. I would appreciate a few options (styles) and sources. I will try and mount it somewhat hidden but very accessible.
Best place to start looking is a marine supplies place, most boats have a battery isolator switch. Because of the job they do, they tend not to be very small.
Kill switch should should not go on a battery cable, much too high an amperage. Kill switch could go pretty much anywhere on the control side. Think starter solenoid, inline with starter switch, etc. Best place in my opinion is the positive feed of the ignition coil as it will also prevent push starting of the bike as well.
kill switch is a misleading term. you are looking for a battery disconnect. I suggest a panel mounted one, not attached to the battery like cars and boats.

Or your RV center

Thanks. I need a battery disconnect switch. I said in the initial post that I didn't know what it was called. I am very rural. It is going to be a chore to source one locally. At least I have a name and two logical locations to search, i.e. Boats and RV's.
