I have my 1984 FXEF listed for sale on Craig's List and here. I have received one ridiculous trade offer from Craig's List. I know my ad got a little corrupted here on the cut n paste from the Craig's List ad, mainly about the S&S Super E and the generic stuff that didn't migrate, but should be common knowledge here, i.e. 4 Speed, 1340, etc; any ideas or suggestions? Is it over priced? Under priced? What? I am not going lower in any event. I am very rural and don't want to mess around arranging shipping. I was not able to Edit my ad here at all or would have fixed that stuff, but don't think it is the cause of lack of interest.
ETA: Now my ad is as it was intended without the corruption!!!! I did not edit it? Will wonders never cease? I don't think that was the problem anyways.
Thanks I totally missed the price. That is one of the generic things that is on Craig's List. Duh. Thanks. But still only one hit there. $4,500.00 I will remove that ad and redoe if I can't fix it there.
I wouldn't go by black book, blue book, nada, etc. They don't have enough volume to give accurate information for old bikes. Look at sold items on all the bike sales sites. Location matters, but you should get a good idea of what yours is worth. You're approaching prime buying season, so try and get what you want. You should wash and polish it to get top dollar.
