I could use a little help. I have a 76 FXE, but someone switched to the FL rear brake controls. When I purchased this bike it came with a thunder header in a box that the previouse owner was told would fir the bike. I have had a dealer talk to Rich Product (they make the header) and they were told it will not fit with those brake controls.
What I am wonder is has anybody out there with either a FL or FX that hsa had controls switched made an adapter so that they can run the thunder headers?
Second thing would be anybody have a set of FX rear brake controls?
I have one on a '71 FL (no Running boards) but with the forward controls. I had to space the master cyl out about a half inch to clear the pipe. If you have a kicker you'll have to get a longer kicker shaft Jims makes one that is 3/4" longer
