I watched Paradise burn from Chico on Nov. 8th 2018. A lot of dear friends lost everything in that horrible fire. I attempted to salvage a Sturgis shovelhead but it was gonzo. The heat from any fire depletes the steel of it's carbon making it very soft. I wouldn't use any part that was in a fire. Except maybe sheetmetal. I have a set of fenders on my shovel that I salvaged from the ashes of a brother's shop. It took some doing to get them bolted up. I run em as a tribute to those who died, and those who lived through the Camp Fire. It is also for those who have not, and may never recover from that day.
