Default #1 points cover

Does anybody know who or if someone is repopping the #1 points covers. I think somebody has to be, there are far to many of them showing up on Ebay listed as NOS that have never been on a bike. Friend of mine wants one for his 76 FXE, but they all sell for around 100 bucks. Just curious if anyone has some insight.

SomeBody probably bought out some old stock from a dealer for them to be having that many and the price is crazy ! But if youre freind wants one at a better price I would suggest a local swap meet. That point cover was popular around the mid 70's and also used by Evil Knevil on his factory sponsored equipment. This is another fine example of me having great hind site as I used to take them off and pitch them, now they are going for $100.

I've seen beat up ones on Ebay sell for 50-60 bucks. His best bet will probably be at Mid-Ohio Vintage Motorcycle Days this summer, huge swap meet area, takes all day to get thru it.

I have one on my Ironhead I bought as NOS from Miller's Custom Parts in Daytona in 2001. It cost me 7 bucks. They had a whole stack of them, along with the ones that came on the XR bikes. I wish I would have bought them all.

The Iron Heads had the holes top to bottom, big twins were side to side until like 79 or 80 they switched top to bottom. Usually the top and bottom versions aren't as popular and don't go for as much....... billy g
