yes i know its dirty-- NO the seal isnt leaking like you think-- its from over oiling the chain -- yes it needs a B.A.T.H. --- i replace the rollerskate wheel these come with with a 62mm one works wayyyy better. this has to be 1 of the best ideas ever.. makes it SMOOOOOTH...
Spring loaded?
I have not tried that.
I'm helping a buddy put together his bike. With the battery between the trans and rear wheel there may not be much adjustment.
This might work well on it.
Where can it be had?
check ebay -- LBV REAR CHAIN TENSIONER, VT19-0431, FOR HARLEY MODELS -- it needs some tweeking -- #1 you can NOT tighten the nut that holds the skate wheel -- it has to be lose or it will fry the bearings-- it takes a few times to get alignment of the chain to the center of the wheel --- the bearings are just skate wheels and found on ebay -- the wheel i use is a bigger diameter - it has to be cut off on 1 side to work -- the bearings can be greased they have a easy pop off cap i would add some good grease before using -- -- as above some people cant handle that others can make, fix, build, repair, design things other than just ask the guy at the bike shop for what works ..
pipes will exit on the left like the XR1000 -- the ends will have the honda prelude finisher cones like the ones on my bike now--- but new ones that are polished S/S
