Default Looking for floorboard kit...forward

My '83 FLHS came with factory forward controls...apparently the "S" model has those stock.

Not forward enough for my 6'5" frame with 36" inseam. I actually feel more cramped than if I'm on a Dyna with mids.

I would like to get floorboards on her. Is there such a thing as extended or forward floorboards?

I believe most standard FLH models have built in mounts for the rear part of floorboards...I see a mount under the primary. But I don't believe there's a mount for the right side. Are there floorboard kits that come with a clamp to mount them on the frame?

And of course the controls themselves.....including whole different brake assembly.

So that's one of the things I'm looking for as I look to customize this bike for myself. Any input appreciated....which kits to avoid, which are good, obstacles encountered...stuff like that.

you need to go to a indy shop and look through the cats and see what they have, some are fixed with a foward location ( 2 inch ) some are adjustable - i am as tall as you and dont fit in anything it seems,

before they had such a thing for sale we would take a 3/8 inch thick piece of flat stock ( drill and fab so looks right ) and move it all forward so as to fit what the rider wanted than chrome the pieces -- just make sure you can turn the wheel with out hitting and it also does not hit anything on bumps < the boards and or brake pedel / shifter

You have the same stock forward controls that I had on my '83 Wide Glide. I put footboards on mine by using stock brkts, mc, shifter (everything) from an FL softtail, either Fatboy or Heritage, it bolts right up with a few minor mods on the shifter side. This was the best route for me to go because I didn't have the rear tabs on my frame or primary (you probably don't either).

Since you also want to move things forward, you could do as johnjzjz suggests and make some simple brackets to move them forward as far as you wish. Your only issue then would be your shift linkage.

They also make adjustable footboards that mount right to your existing peg mounts. That would be your easiest and cheapest if you can stand that look.
