Talking 1975 Shovelhead

Hey guys I posted several months ago about a 75 shovel I bought. She had about 200 problems to fix on her, Glad to say she is running great now, other than some minor carb adjustments and possible smaller jets. Im periodically toying with carb and checking plugs before I get the jet. Other than that, its time to start cosmetics! 1st thing im doing is getting those damn pipes to mount straiter "the rod they mount to is the wrong one" I fudged it to get her running

Great looking shovel. Timeless look of a Harley. Gotta love it. Good work keeping one more troublehead alive.

get rid of those champion plugs -- i mean they work but try a set of autolite XS-65 gap them to .040 IF you have an electronic iggy --

those pipes need some type of back pressure or your gonna suffer on the low end --

a simple washer welded to a bolt and put 1" in the pipe will give it back pressure --

i made my exhaust --- inside that cone is a SS funnel for back pressure

Speaking of pipes, what's with that front pipe? Does it have a bad bend?

The pipes aren't bad , its the rod that the pipes bolt to down low. I am going to cut it down to square the pipes up more when I tack some washers in the pipes. I slam banged them on, it was the end of the build and I wanted to ride her :P

Thanks for the input
