Default Anti-seize use with muffler

I removed my muffler to work on my drive belt and some other issues. I noticed an orange substance on the tailpipe and in the muffler. I think it is copper anti-seize and may have been put there by the dealer. My question is: can I just use aluminum anti-seize instead of copper? Is the anti-seize a good idea? I haven't found anyone that stocks copper anti-sieze so is it not used much anymore? Thanks.

I use the red hi temp rtv when installing the mufflers. Seals any leakage & the pieces won't sieze together.

Red RTV will become an adhesive, probably the worst thing you could use in that application.

We use it to seal ducts and instrumentation fittings on experimental jet engines, disassembly can be very difficult, to say the least...

Use Nickel Anti-Seize.
