The best of battle plans - goes straight to hell - once the first shot is fired

Translation - need additional connectors - they're on order

Anyway - off we go

Ghost

===================

Why it necessary I moved the jack's cross member rearward

Initial view of the oil filter that's fixin to get the oil offset

Removed the shift linkage - now it can be accessed

Oil filter removed

Oil filter still removed

Installing the oil offset..., reinstalling the original filter..., capping the ANs..., then checking for leaks

Ghost

Blue locktight is your friend - This the 1" nut that secures the oil offset

Oiling the offset gasket - those are air bubbles.., not contaminants on the gasket

Off set installed and capped

Scooter is running in this shot - no leaks - quiet bitch ain't it

Building ANs

I've heard some say they're hard..., other say you must have special tools

BS - keep it simple - it is simple

Ghost

============

Tube end on the left..., Tube nut on the right

What's needed to make ANs (1) Sharp hacksaw (2) Electrical tape (3) WD40 - or silicone spray (4) Wrench (5) Bench vise..., or another wrench (6) Hose and connector

WD really is your friend

The hose nut screws onto the AN hose until fully seated - use WD40 to help make it easier to get the hose fully seated

Important note:

Once the hose is fully seated into the hose nut - never twist the hose nut again while assembling

Doing so will F up the integrity of the connection

Interested to see the results. I hope repeatability is successful.

ANs cont.

Ghost

Inserted hose end..., into hose nut..., after hose fully seated into hose nut

Hold the hose nut stationary - while tightening hose end into hose nut - spray WD40 onto hose end..., to help it seat into hose / hose nut

One end completed - measuring / marking in preparation to make other end - for proper length - mark hose where the hose nut meets the hose end

Use electrical tape - and tightly wrap on each side of the line to cut - tape keeps the shield from unraveling and becoming an unmanagable rats nest - that cannot be inserted into the hose end..., it also keeps wire secure and not sticking your finger - which hurts like hell

Notice how neat this just cut end - is

Almost done w/ ANs 101

Ghost

Fully inserted hose into hose end - for the other end just cut

Tighten the hose end like before - one completed AN hose

Damn - the hose is the correct length - how the hell did that happen

Top X connect hose is installed - and clutch cable re-installed

Here's where we stand

Oil offset installed..., original oil filter back on - can do the base line temp test

Then replace the original oil filter w/ the reusable one (PCS4C) - then can do that temp test to see if any benefit from just the PCS4C filter - in stock location

To do the oil tube test - need add'l connectors to plumb correctly from the oil offset..., to the base of each tube

I could have half assed it..., and made it work - but that ain't me

Connectors are on order and should be in wed

The vertical tubes blend in much more than I thought they would.

Looking forward to reading your results and appreciate the effort taken in your approach.
