[QUOTEI'm sure my wife crossed it many times by car and we crossed it together in a car sometime in the 80's but neither has done it by bike. We're both seasoned riders and she is fearless so should not be an issue. We may or may not even make it to the bridge depending on time and weather while there. Not coming up or heading home that direction as I avoid Chicago like the plague!!!! ][/QUOTE]
I may have missed it, but if you are coming up from TN and thinking about the HD Museum, then you are heading through Chicago to get to Milwaukee.
On the other hand, If you came North through Michigan, you HAVE to cross the Mackinaw Bridge to get to Gwinn.
So one of us is confused, and it could be Me. lol
But to say you are not coming up or heading home that direction, as to avoid Chicago doesn't work. Its either the Bridge, or Chicago. Just tryin to help!

There is a route further west for me that avoids Chicago and is only slightly longer but time is almost the same. Nothing but corn fields the entire way!!!! Goes through Peoria and Rockford instead. I-39

Don't look down, if you do. Just take your time on the grates, and don't hold your handlebars too tight. Let it wobble a little.

If thats the case, go home through Marinette. Have a burger at old school Mickey Lu's. Tell them your condiments, when you order, you can't add them at your table.

I can see I may need to go ahead and buy some bigger pants cause I'm gonna need them by the time I leave there.
Trying to find out if our cabin is available one more night. I can see we just don't have enough time currently because of Class Reunion stuff 2 different days. And that is assuming good weather while we're there.
