Vehicles are not investment loved our 15 Limteds and now we love our M8 CVOs, anything we buy something for personal use don't expect anyone else to pay high dollars for our used goods it is what it is.
You can't lose money if you ride the wheels off it; which is exactly what you're doing.
That's the plan. I'm looking forward to the unveiling of the new bikes to see what the evolution of the brand is. But as someone said elsewhere -"I can't wait to see what I'm not going to buy."
And don't forget, HD is the Rambler of the motorcycle world. Just keep repackaging the sos.
No repackaging here. Not a single part from a 1997 Ultra is replaceable on a 2017 Ultra. Yet, someone who doesn't know Harley's would have a hard time seeing the differences.
Harley does better than most manufacturers in keeping up with the user demands. Just take a look at the complaints in this forum 10 years ago to see how Harley listens to their base.
Harley is marketed to a specific customer. Is that really bad? Harley sells more bikes in the US than any other manufacturer. If a rider doesn't want nostalgia, there are plenty of other bikes in the market.
The used market is directly related to the new market. What is hitting the new market so hard right now is the economy slump. It's affecting everybody.
And don't forget, HD is the Rambler of the motorcycle world. Just keep repackaging the sos.
This is one of those silly posts. Read between the lines. The ones that think the M8 is so bad and is a Jap looking bike are the ones that will loss value if they trade for one now. Thats why they don't like the M8. I will get one some day but not till I wear my RK out a lot more. The other same old remarks about how sucky HD is by people that own one isn't worth the computer screen it is written on.
HD's are an investment to some of the best times of my life, not monetary. We all want a good deal, and a good trade in , but the real value, is in the riding. Nothing like riding down the road, not thinking about other things in life, enjoying the wind, and the scenery.
After seeing the 18's, CVO color schemes, my used price may have jumped up, lol
LOL, My thoughts exactly when I saw the colors online. They gotta be better in person I'm thinking...and only THREE pitiful choices...Red, blue and some kind of black.
The Ultra-Limited line has like 13 color choices. WTF??
