Had some nasty brightwork on the old Mikuni, so I ordered a new top cover and fuel inlet. The new hardware is nicer than the old stuff. Button head hex sockets. Looks like polished stainless. The casting and finish on the top isn't as nice, tho. Better than the bubbling and discolored old one, at least.
Working on polishing the rest of the frame. Taki g a break for a bit. My back is hurting from all the crouching. Can't lift the front tire off the ground. Too front heavy. Lift wants to tip at the floor.
Need to order a shorter clevis pin. Mine interferes with the ARP bolt head.
Changed the fastening scheme for the brake pedal. Hated the acorn nut, so I flipped it around and used a nylock and button head. Polished stainless, of course.
New rocker box tops. I have the rest of the engine in wrinkle, too, if I decide to go further. I like this, tho. Maybe...just maybe, the lifter blocks. We'll see.
