*** cancer. My best to your mom. I've got three Survivors in my immediate family (ex wife, mother, father). I've had to put down three dogs (2 had cancer, one was just ancient amd couldn't move) and lost a half dozen cats to various circumstances over the years. It never gets easier.
Now that the weather is warming up I hope to start making progress again. I have hopes that I'll be doing a shakedown in April. Might have to take a break in the summer to paint the tank. I have some airbrush plans for that I won't be able to handle myself so money will decide when that heppens.
3W on left, 1W on right. In person, the 3W is perceptibly brighter, but not by a factor of three...or even two. Maybe 15%. HOWEVER... at 45 degrees off axis (probably the minimum angle a vehicle in an intersecting turn lane would be at), the difference starts to become obvious. The 3W is probably 2x as bright. ...and even more pronounced by around 70 degrees off axis. This from above, about 85 degrees off axis. You can see the beam angles. They are conical so the off axis dimming applies to rotation of the controls or bars fore/aft or to high riding vehicles. Tried to show how they illuminate a space but it didn't turn out great. The 3W is on the left and is quite a bit brighter in the room in real life.

Nobody moves slower on a bike project than I do, haha!
Edit: I'm putting new rotors on my bike. I like those on your bike. I'll send you a PM at some point. I'm curious about them. They look good with the spoke wheels!
Man, I love those LEDs in the levers. Cleaner looking and probably way more visible than the little fork mounts I have below my headlight. I dread running a wire back through my bars at this point though.

I'm not sure how the designer intended the wires to be routed, but I assume they are to supposed to pass into the stock switch housings somewhere...or be run externally. NFW am I running external and my solid alminum trim pieces completely cover the bar dimples. I knew months ago that I was moving away from the bar-end signals, in favor of control mounts so I was expecting to have to drill holes...so I've left the bars unfinished. Drilling more holes at this point is no big deal. LoL!
Still have to build the entire wire harness anyway...yuck.
I have been following your thread for months now and it finally inspired me to join up, just so I could reply to you and let you know that this thread rules! Your attention to detail is second to none and it is awesome to see you put the work into every aspect of your bike. I am looking forward to seeing this build progress on!
