The included nuts are acceptable. The threads are clean and burr-free. The serrations are sharp. The plating (cad or yellow zinc) looks typical for budget fasteners. They form fine. I can't speak to strength or corrosion resistance.

Let me know if you have trouble swapping the dies. The instructions are quite vague. It's supposed to be toolless, which threw me off when I found the dies more than finger tight.
Had to order some different rivnuts since I'm going into thick material. These are good for 1/4". The ones that came with the setting tool are only good to about .156". Thought somebody might be interested in the differemce between budget Chinese rivnuts and US made...
The Chinese ones have a thinner plating, thinner wall, and looser thread fit. The features and machining precision are sharper on the US fastener. Chinese has less material overall...typical cost saving measure...
The flange on the US nut is notably thinner, but they are the thin flange version.
First test rivet. Looks good. I didn't bother to machine the counterbore for the flange. Didn't feel like changing over the tooling on the lathe tonight.
The 5/16 shoulder is a little sloppy in the nut counterbore but serves its purpose.
