With the New Year we will have issues we've never faced before in Southeast Texas. Look as if it's going to be in the 20's at night for a week or so. Oil is good, but wondering if I need to change the coolant in my Evo or Shovel, if so what brands do you use.
I wish it was that chilly here. I'd like to be around Furnace Creek or Carlsbad or even southeast Texas right now. I lived in Erie PA for a few years but luckily I'm a little further south now and their record snowfall missed us. I know there's places colder right now but I'm ready for summer.
The local HOG Chapter does their annual Frosty HOG ride here each year on New Years Day.
Fuggum, I ain't going, don't like them much anyway. It's currently 32* degrees here this morning.
Hmmm I better check the weather here for today's ride........Looks good to me
Lucky you! I had to leave my automatic gate open, due to ice freezing on the chain drive. I also had to leave my faucets on a slow stream, so I wouldn`t have to worry about my well and pipes freezing. I have a heater in the well house, but I`m not taking any chances. It`s 12* here right now.

When I was a kid I remember one winter I spent in Buffalo, NY. Back then the snow plows couldn`t keep up with all of the snow, but we went to school anyway and had a ball digging tunnels through 3 or 4 feet of snow.

To answer the question....buy a coolant gauge/checker at an auto supply store or online. Find the reservoir for your bike and check how good it's down to. Add coolant as necessary.
