So I bought a sissy bar for my 2014 softail, but the bolt, where the easy removal brackets goes, can't be remove.
As I turn the bolt loose the inside nut turns as we'll. trying to remove the whole rear fender unless someone directs me in the right direction.
Anyone has any idea how can I remove this bolt without removing the whole fender
Thanks in advance.
Danny
What model of bike do you have? Here is an exploded view for a Fatboy. You can see that there are brackets inside the fender so the bolts should come out and not be spinning.

If its the nut I think it is (only one on each side near the back, #8 above). I loosen up most of the other fender/strut bolts just enough to get a wrench on the nut.
Thanks for your replies guys.
Thanks to Misbehaven diagram pic. I noticed it was a removal plate #14, that has a soldered thread that is where bolt #3 screws on, and that is where the three tiny solder dots thats where it came loose, so it was spinning as i screw the bolt out. Finally took it off and used some JB weld which fixed the problem.
Thanks again.
