Default roland sands nostalgic velocity stack.

i really like this intake, but the lack of filter element has me concerned. any input on these? anyone running this intake?

They look really cool, but they're meant for race or show purpose's. I'd advise against it.

I agree on this one. Also, a velocity stack is anything but nostalgic.

Does a VS make the bike go any faster? Kinda hard to find an answer to this basic question on the internets.

Not much if any on a stock motor. Some sport bike riders claim 2 hp. VS helps to straighten the air flow but once you add a filter to it that sort of goes out the window.

I have 14k miles on my crossbones with no issues running the rsd nostalgia velocity stack. It is a heavy well made piece of equipment. I just took engine apart to install 107 kit and cylinders looked perfect. I know several other guys in Chicago that run them also with no issues. I would get the rain sock they make, but I wouldn't be worried about it.
