Unhappy Please help!!! 2014 Front Turn Signal Relocation problems

Hope there is help out there. I just purchased a 2014 Fatboy, love the bike, except for the turn signals on the bars. I have checked the threads and haven't found the info needed. Seems the turn signals are hot glued into the handle bar control switches. The lights have 3 wires coming out of them. I can't pull the wiring through the bars. Question do I cut the 3 wires and then tie into the harness on the right side? I haven't seen any 2014 instructions on the web for this. Please help, I'm lost and want it to look right, Thanks

I dont know if there were changes in 2014. I have done a 2013 and the signals were not glued, they screwed into a 5/16" 24 pitch pivoting stud on the mirror/signal bracket. I cut the wires between the tank and the tree and was able to pull them through the bars by loosening the controls. I then attached signals to the forks with 5/16" 24 pitch rod and re- routed the wires, soldered and shrikwrapped. The only place locally to find the rod was Fastnall.

Read through this write up. It should shed some light on this very subject.

Great set of instructions! Not sure I ever said thanks for posting it! But start to finish about an hour... Only thing I did differently (and I think Misbhaven says it in his instructions) was just cut the wires at the base of the controls then used a set of needle-nose to pull what was left into the housing. The wires that are left are dead so no need to cap them and I actually just left them in the bars.

Good luck with your project.... Post the results!
