Default Will I need a new ignition switch?

The ignition switch on my 02 Heritage Springer is a little loose and sometimes the bike has no power till I jiggle it, and, I can shut the bike off while running if I jiggle the switch. (Sorry for the jiggle words can't think of another word to use).

Will I have to replace the whole switch (and get it re-keyed) or is there a fix?

I believe I've seen posts on this forum about taking the switch apart, cleaning and adjusting, and putting it back together. I'd at least try it before buying anything new.

Clean the contacts on the switch and make sure the female spade connectors on the wires are making solid contact and you should be all good....If need be give the connectors a pinch with some pliers to make them fit nice and tight.

Yep this. I took apart the switch on my 2002 Fatboy. Cleaned the contacts and bent the springy thing as to make a stronger contact and put a small dab of contact grease on the contacts. Simple to do and it works great now.
