I used Blue Painters Tape and a Sharpie, worked wonders

Go Slow, running the wires through the bars is great to do on the couch with a beer while watching TV ......

Above, regarding the new hose for the tank.........I got stuck and couldn't remove my tank because that hose was stuck and dried on......so I just lifted the gas tank out of the way (propped it up on a piece of wood). Oh and I made a mess draining the gas.........watch that one too!

If you don't have "connectors" on your wiring, make sure you solder, it's tedious, but well worth it!

Remember to put heat shrink on before you connect and solder the wires :-)

And the snap O-ring for the Pin in your clutch lever is really small holes, doesn't fit a standard snap ring plier unless you have a nicer one with extra tips :-)

It was EASY........ it's just time consuming!

I actually just got to putting these on and my clutch cable they sent me is way too long. The stock cable is 62 or 63 something like that I think they sent me a 70.

Try running that clutch cable through the opening on your top triple tree (where the wiring for the hand controls is going through). If it's too tight in there then try going in between the risers or between the fork legs (the space where the headlight sits).

It's not supposed to be run off to the left side like you have it there. I think that's what is causing it to seem like it's too long.

Remember, when you turn your bars to the left like you have in the pictures it's always gonna create slack on your clutch cable makeing it seem longer. You need that extra length for when you turn the bars all the way right.

Well there isn't any room through the triple tree, so next. I did move the bars all the way back and forth and that cable does not budge.

I still don't think that cable is too long, I think it's the correct length. Just un hook it from the clutch lever and slide it between the fork legs and the triple trees (where the headlight mounts).

Yeah, I got it through the triple tree, and it's better but I don't know why, I'm just not convinced it's right. Anyway, the cable measures 6 inches longer then the stock one at 68 inches.

Service guy at my local stealer says the clutch cable should only need to be extended if they are 14 inch hangers and up.

you NEEDED to change out your cable. my friend made this mistake with his 10" bars. if the new cable is 6" longer then it is to long by 2" or so, +4" would have been the bees knees! get them wires zipped tied you have "into" the bars, then get some cable bar clamps and that will clean it up just fine. http://shop.wild1inc.com/WO830-833-C...-WO830-833.htm
