I have really noticed around here on this forum, especially with the Slim, that you guys are all wrapped up in what this bike is supposed to look like instead of what I want it to look like. Yes...that things gotta go! It's all in my way and preventing me from stretching out like the other side.

Hey if it doesn't fit you then by all means change it. But when you call it a "monstrosity" your insulting the look. Why don't u just say its in my way and I need a solution?
And yes I think it doesn't make any sense to buy a slim and change what it's supposed to be. It's like buying a breakout and switching out to a thin narrow rear tire and trying to convert it into a throwback. Makes no sense at all. Are people free to do it? Sure.
That's the beauty of customization! It doesn't have to make sense you just have to like it yourself

Just pull the rubber pedal off the brake lever and replace it with one that suits you. MOCO offers quite a few, as well as the other after market vendors.
I have had this same pedal on my last three bikes.
