Can you share where you got the chrome SS line that is routing upwards. Wondering if it could be used on Touring bikes. In addition, I wonder if it can be cut in half and hook it up to the DK Custom’s filter. Just brainstorming for a nice clean install.

Got it off of Amazon for like $30. Its steel so it can be cut and brazed.

It should fit a touring bike. It was listed for an 88' bike. Same spacing. That is a DK filter its hooked up to.

The older Stage 1 breather kits used to come with banjo bolts instead of the steel breather pipe. You can use these instead of cutting that pipe.
HD part # 29445-02. Cost about $11 each.

I used these with a Doherty air cleaner. Mounted the one above the IAC horizontally and the one on the right vertically. You can see in the one picture the hoses meet up and are then run down to ground.

Thanks DK. After examining my AC more closely, I now realise that the Big Sucker's backing plate means that I can't use one of the bolt-on kits. I don't really want to be drilling/tapping my existing backing plate in case I screw it up. Even worse if whatever I've used to block the existing breather pathways in the backing plate works itself loose and gets sucked in! Beyond cutting some of the hollow stand-offs from the backing plate, I wonder whether it is possible to get a replacement backing plate that allows you to use the normal breather banjos?

Even if you cut part of the hollow stand-offs off so that you could use the banjos behind it, you would still have the challenge of finding a banjo bolt long enough. If you cut the stand offs enough to fit the standard banjo bolt in, then you will have lost the support bracket aspect of the backplate.

Additionally, you will still have to block the holes. This is not an issue if you use tapered rubber plugs or some good RTV on the supply side.

The other option is to get something like THIS, that bolts right on.

I have been running the DK Customs 587 A/C with the breather bolts. I have around 1500 miles using this set up now and have yet to find any oil spray on the bike. The filters are easy to remove and clean. The bolts are simple and provide a very clean look.
