it's a great idea to vent it out of you motor. the only reason HD does it is because the EPA told them to. keep that hot oily **** out of the motor!
go to to DK Custom and they have kits built just for that reason. what you have is almost spot on. if it does cause a mess...just route a longer line down the frame to the ground are.
In the DK link, one of the photos shows the filter next to the rear disk. Wouldn't think you'd want oily air spraying on your disc. If you ran the filter lower, would it get on your tire? Or is this a non-issue because of the filter?
