Perhaps using a small cone filter with the narrow end down stream would generate enough low pressure around the filter to suck air through it from the hose and hence the crank case?

maybe some kind of inline fuel Filter , then you could still hook it up to the backing plate .
I seriously doubt a vac signal is needed with those 2 big pistons pumping in that small crank case ......the pulses of air from the down strokes of the pistons should be producing more than enough pressure to evacuate any crank case gases to atmosphere through the small breather vents / umbrella valves...... as far as oil contamination goes......use a good synthetic oil and change it at a respectful interval . moisture and "combustion by products" as mentioned in a earlier post will most definitely remain in the oil and only partially be removed as vapor . so.....pumping it back into the motor is just wrong . just my 2 cents .
You guys may want to do a Blackstone oil analysis after doing this and see what's going on in your oil. I do one every couple of years in my vehicles to see what's going on. Not expensive and I've learned that I can stretch oil changes longer than 3000 as there is always plenty of TBN left in my oil when I send it in.
I keep my vacuum on my crankcase in all vehicles, though I do have an oil catch can on my Vette to keep oil out of the intake (LS engines have a fair problem with oil in the intake as there is no PCV valve). They make catch cans for Harleys too if you are really worried about oil in your intake (I'm not).
Alain, One other option I had considered would be machining/grinding enough material off the back/inside of breather backplate mounts to fit a Banjo with O-rings in between there. That would have to be pretty precise so I drilled/Tapped my SE Breather.
