Lionsqrne,
For what its worth, over the winter I had the SE211 cams put in my 05 Deluxe (still 88" with Stage 1). These required new push rods and I installed the HD SERT at the same time. I was nervous about this mod, done by my stealer, as most info I could find did not recommend the SE211 cams in a stock compression setup. As it turned out, I am very pleased with the results; sound, power, and dyno numbers.
Thanks ga4boats. That was very informative. Appreciate your time in putting that here.
Even after reading that though. I really can't justify the cost for the little gainage over just waiting and doing a bbk later on. I am not a speed demon and the bike is fine. I do wish there was a way to get the "slow idle chug n draw n chug" as vertigo talked about, (I like that phrase now), but several have told me along with people stating it here that it just cannot be done with the newer efi's... u can get somewhat with a bbk... but not exact.
