1989 HERITAGE Ign relocation/wire elimination help needed
Hey fellow riders. I'm in need of help to move foreward on my bobber build. Relocating the ignition switch for my 89 heritage from the tank to the side with still using the same switch. I want to eliminate the dash lights and whatever bulk is up there. I cut off the dash light wires and still have excess wires and or grounds or relays...are they necessary?

as you can see I'm in a world of trouble...lol probably not really but I'm a newbie. So any help to eliminating useless wires if that's even possible would be great and much appreciated.

another beautiful snag here now....switch is to enormous for the tank adapter. Which won't fit over the frame with ign switch....twin cam switch housing is much more low profile. Now to see if I can use a TC switch housing or do some engineering here. Also the wires seem all be needed lol...lights ign signals blah blah blah. theyre all connected or cross connected
this is what the tank adapter was meant to hold. Anyone know if I can rewire my monterous ign set up to this low profile turn key. pic is of the backside.
cut wires from 6 pin and going to attempt to make it a newer style 3 pin. you can see the 4 wires I cut. red, yellow, brown and a dark brown(hard to see but on top left of pic)
so the wires I cut are from the relays and on. hope this makes sense and works.
went out and bought a new ignition switch from a local bike shop. Drag specialties PN DS-272187 fits years 93-12. So I went by my drawing and the bike turns successfully, all lights, signals and ignition fire works great so I'm a happy man today. part fits into the tank adapter great which is why I went this route in the first place. Easy mod.
