Default Who's using a swing arm bag?

Curious as to just how much stuff you can get into a swing arm bag?

I have the HD swingarm bag on my Fat Boy. It doesn't hold a whole lot. I can get my sack lunch and a hat it there when riding to work....that's about it. The other night I was able to jam 5 bottles of beer into it.

I also have the HD swingarm bag and confirm the limited capacity.

If I was buying one again, it would be the same bag.

Just make sure that you use the protective clear film on the swingarm.

I just use mine to carry those things I don't need to get at all the time. tool set, tire patch kit, rag, etc.

I have fit 6 beer cans in my LeatherWorks 312XL. It has not touched down even though the left floor board has several times. I hard mounted rather than use the leather straps, I think this helps keep it from Sagging/ Dragging. I cannot fit my leather jacket in it when it gets hot, so I plan to sell it and get something larger. I love how it looks:

Literally just ordered one of these about 10 mins ago from JP Cycles. Seems to be one of the more popular and well-made bags. Looking forward to getting it.

I have the Leatherworks 3" deep one. I keep a little fold up backpack inside it just in case. And I just bungee my jacket to the handlebars, so I've never even tried to fit it in there

Just found this old thread on bags and hard mounting.

I used coupling nuts and 2 aluminum pieces for rigidity on the inside, no external plate.

I'm planning to sell my HD swing arm bag too. Don't get me wrong, it is a really nice bag but I need something bigger. I'm going to get 2 of the rectangular bags from Bad&G customs that can be mounted to the fender strut. They are 10x14 and 4 inches wide. I had one of their bags on my old Dyna....nice product. Check them out.
