Yes, both are softails.

 

Pretty much the same bike, except a Springer as a sprung front end and a little different saddle bags..

 

Oka got ya but is a springer front end out dated for its purpose on a ccruiser.

 

To those of us that have them and or love them, they will never be "outdated". But my understanding is that it's too expensive, or complex to manufacture (especially with ABS). Unfortunately, likely never to see it again from Harley. There are aftermarket springer suspensions available. Quality is somewhat questionable. Ebay has a very few oem's. Huge $.
