Last October I got rear ended at a stop sign by a Suburban. Got the bike back last week, finally. The guy had no insurance and that held up the process for awhile. Anyway, sorry for the poor cell phone photos, but it is still below zero out and I will leave her where it is for now. I added the center stand and rear crash bars after the accident.
Well at least your able to ride again, that's the good part. Took me 20 years to get up and ride again after my fall. Good luck and sometimes you just can't prevent **** from happening.
No I tried it, and the rear tire just spins. It is lifted just enough that it is off the ground. The rear crash bar gives you a good handhold to just pull it forward off the stand.
Good to hear you came out ok and you got the bike back. How do like the center stand? Is it easy to reach? Is it easy to get off the center stand? Im on the shorter side and was thinking about adding one of these to my deluxe. Thanks. That a nice ride you have and I like the paint.
bike is looking good. not sure what part of the state you are in but it was an ugly summer to be on a bike around here. I have to ride up Oilfield avenue (highway 22) to get to work at 5:30 in the morning and i feared for my life every day.

I agree with that, so I took the new hwy 22 bypass last fall thinking it was safer. That is where I got hit.
CPC0812, as to the center stand, it is easy to get it up on the stand. You will need the rear bars, or something similar, to grab onto to get it off easily. I got it because my bikes side stand kept sinking in and tearing up the parking lot at work. I thought this may work on those hot days. Also I like the retro look of the center stand.
