I got new gas tanks for my 94 custom 3 weeks ago and had them custom painted blue flame and marbilized to match the rest of the bike, yesterday i spilled gas on one of the tanks after filling it up, i immedialty wiped it off with some of the stations paper towels, i did not notice any damage
do u think i may have caused any damage to the paint P.S getting all my photos i would like to share as thumbnails is drivin me f'n nuts [sm=dontgetit.gif]
Nope, assuming it was professionally painted, clear coated and baked right it will be fine (unless you had dirt mixed in with the fuel and scratched it a little - course you could buff that out).
..it should be fine, but I wouldn't recommend paper of any kind on nice paint..don't wipe it off dry either..dust/grit on surface will put fine scratches on your paint..
