Breakout Stock mufflers mod!!!!
My name is Sami and im from Finland!
Im new in to the softail group!
I bought the 2015 Breakout, and now its time to do some nessesery improvements... =)
I like the look of stock 2-2 exhaust but its so guiet, and sound like scooter!
So i decided to mod the mufflers instead of getting new pipe!
I like little sportier look for the bike so the exhaust should be like it too.
Removed the stock baffles inside, drilled the three rivets off the tip of the mufflers and beat the baffles out!
I bought 48mm meshpipe for the new baffle. and made it like screaming eagle baffle. Sorry i dont have picture of them finished. I was so doing it so i forget to take picture. =)
I made them work something like these, only more mesh pipe in the end of the baffle and without the widened section. The baffle slides inside to the billet end about 20mm :
I shortened the mufflers core about 90mm,and i design and make billet tipends for the mufflers.
Here they are packed and first coat of ceramic paint on them.
Looking for to hear them and how they perform! Ill put them on bike as soon they are well dryed!
there is going to be chrome bolts in the holes that i drilled tipends.

Nice DIY work you've done there, but sure you wish to keep the mufflers in matt black? You've got a bike with gloss grey tins, gloss black oil tank/handlebar/fork sliders, chome engine parts/struts/heat shileds... don't you risk to have too many types of finish and colors? Just my .02...
