I'm considering getting some leather engine guard chaps. Any recommendations? I would like ones that have a pocket on them for some storage. Also, for those that have them, how much do they help with keeping the wind off your lower body?
I'm subscribing cuz I was thinking of getting some as well. However, everything I've seen so far has been made of vinyl.... likely because of the rain and elements.
I have Chilhowee Leather chaps. I use them in the cold weather and they do a good job at blocking wind from your legs. They are a quality product made from leather.
Chilhowee Leather chaps are made of heavy leather and are good quality, but are quite pricey. I believe they are running about $155 for the set.
I posted a little while ago asking about the HD ones, they are around the $100 mark but have a hard plastic insert. I was curious if they would scratch my black engine guard.
Most of the chaps or soft lowers say not to use them above 60 to 70 degrees cuz your engine can over heat.
