I'm retarded....
Pick your feet up and place them on your own boards instead of letting them lag behind...that's the technique being talked about. Don't drag them behind you and you'll stop hitting the passenger boards.
And since you seem to enjoy using the word that describes your mental disability, you may not understand this concept. Take it to the Dealer to have them taken off.

You sound like an amateur rider anyways so I'm ignoring you....

Every Road Glide (I've had three) and this softail with rear floorboards can occasionally nip the back of your leg, when starting from a deal stop...on an uphill 90 degree turn.
Didn't see any floor boards on your bike so maybe you haven't experienced it.
I've been riding for over 50 years....I know how to ride just fine.

No, my bike does not have rear floorboards, it has rear pegs. And when someone sits on the back, guess what, their feet stick out just like your floorboards do....and I've never ran my calf into my old lady's boots. Why? Because of what everyone else knows is obvious, what Cygnus tried to tell you...try listening and people will help you before you do something stupid like rounding out your bolts to the point you'll never get them out.
Feeling sorry for him won't help. And ya, good luck buddy, your gonna need it. Anyone who has ridden for 50 yrs and drags his legs on the pavement obviously will need all the help he can get.
1) Go out and pick up/order a service manual for you bike. It will take you step by step on more than you would ever want to take on by yourself but will also save you a lot of time and money.
2) Invest in a good set of TORX sockets and drivers - don't use an Allen wrench, you can easily strip the head of the bolt then you'll have a whole new set of problems.
3) Want to sell those floor boards? PM me if you'd like to unload them...
