I don't like the fairings, cant see the immediate road. Windshield is new for me, I like it but I know it's history once I upgrade the bars. Enjoy bug relief while I can? *laffs
8" and it works very well. Im 6"2 and sit in lowered seats - cc solo and hd sundowner. I think an 8" curved would be even better, acting like a 10" shield.

I had an 8" Freedom Shield w/Recurve on my 2011 Batwing. I'm almost 6 feet tall and it worked great. The 7" would have worked a little better for me as I tend to sag in the seat while riding on the long trips. I ended up looking through the very top of the 8".
Freedom has great customer service and for the price you cant go wrong.
