I voted Breakout because that's what I have. I'm seriously considering trading it for a new deluxe. Over the weekend at ROT rally I fell in love with just about everyone I came across.

Didn't go the the ROT this year, due to work schedule. Was it well attended? Numbers have gone done in recent years. Deluxe is very popular, and can be made personally yours, too. To me better looking than the BO. Kinda like my previous Heritage, with a better seat and no W/S. tp
... I didnt mention it in this post but another 3rd option that still lingers in my mind besides the Breakout and the Slim is to find a barley used 2009 Night train.. I use to love my Train and to this day even with the new bikes out i feel its the best looking Harley the company has ever made for my taste period..Its just bad *** IMO.. The more i think about it it has what i like about the Slim and what i like about the Breakout combined in a way.. I love blacked out look and chrome combined and i do love the wild chopper look and wide tire look but not as big a 240mm i always thought the 200mm looked perfect without sacrificing the handling.. The train just looks long and stretched and wild... With the Breakout the rear fender looks too short and i dont like skinny center strip and single gas cap with no fuel gauge style either on the tank...Plus i have alot of memories on my train..to this day its the one i regret getting rid of the most.. Who knows.. I just need a dam Softail..
Even with the nostalgia of the Night Train, I would go with the Slim... You can always black out or chrome what you want...put a slighter wider tire on it....and still have the benefits of the development done since the Train went out. Better engine, better brakes, ABS, etc.

Just my two cents...
Agree 100%. Train is cool bike no doubt but 103" motor and 6 speed would put me in a Slim over a Train.

This was my first one. I don't know about past attendance but there were a lot of freaking people there lol. Weather is supposed to be nice this weekend so I might ride up and check out a Deluxe. Dealer near me is offering full retail on trade ins so at least the BO will get paid off and I won't be upside down.

That sounds like a great deal on the trade ins. Good luck.
Come on down to the LSR in Galveston, this Fall. Normally 10 times the attendance of the ROT. Talk about your "bikes everywhere" scenario Lots of fun...
As far as anyone making a Slim yours, here is a great thread of Slim pics, by owners here. Hours of entertainment and info.
