So far just about every post you've made you make a point to praise the slim. It's pretty obvious that's what you want. Go get it already

I vote slim. Sat on one at the local dealer and immediately loved it. Didn't get to ride it though. With some moderate sized apes and the right seat it would be fantastic in my opinion.

if your local dealer does rentals, then get the bike for the weekend and give it a try. some dealers will even take the price of the rental off the new bike price if you buy it.

Smile

I naturally voted slim being I own a slim, The BO needed a little more tweaking then the slim for me when I test rode it as I was a little stretched out as I am as they say vertically challenged.
The BO is an awesome looking ride! But The ride, low seat height and floorboards sold me on the slim. (No tweaking, just stage 1, remove able windshield new seat!) I feel the slim is comfortable for me on back country roads or a trek on the super slab with just adding a windshield
Nice CVO RK, I should not ask on, why new bike as I know the answer as I am always looking also? lol.
If you decide slim, fair warning the stock seat is a ? (pos) plan on a new seat, I went with a stock Blackline seat, and am thinking Mustang as a solo for longer rides.

Well... reading again what use you will give it... making either one of these bikes a two-up will take away from their original looks a lot...

Why not go back to a Fatboy-Lo or go with a Softail Deluxe? Better setup from the get go for a two-up...

Here is some things i dont like about both bikes in stock form.... Softail Slim,.. skinny rear tire(needs to be a little bit wider), polished aluminum engine rockers and primary, and stock seat.. Breakout,.. gas tank only having one cap(look of it), no fuel gauge, no center console, the tack on the handle bar, and foot pegs..

Well the Softail Slim is pretty much the same bike as the Lo and Deluxe just styles a bit different.. The Slim has some pretty nice seats out for it like the Mustang tripper, has the removable rear seat. It would not take away the look of the Slim at all IMO.. As i loved my Lo when i owned it i actually googled over the Slim at the time,, Just like the older school styling better then the Fatboy and i feel there alot more customizing potential with the Slim..Never dug the solid wheels on my Lo.. For my tast the Deluxe is way too shinny.. Im more of a blacked out guy or at least half and half. My bikes gotta have some black parts.. I saw a blacked out deluxe with an awesome paint job i think in one of the old Harley parts books or somewhere and it was so friggin nice.. But it would cost me way to much money to get it there... Wish it came from the factory like that id buy it..

So I have not tested a breakout yet, is the lean angle really a big issue?
