Once you scrape enough your boards will be worn out. That means that your bike is worn out too. You will need to buy a new bike. The Motor Company thinks of everything. LOL

Depends on how hard you ride it, you can baby it or ride it and have fun. All of my scoots get rode hard, floorboards throwing sparks is just part of it.

With that said, I will say, some days I just putt.

I scraped only once in 10 years on my 05 Road King Classic. The new CVO Deluxe is pretty low and I've scraped 4-5 times already in the first 1000 miles. I'm looking into ways to raise it a bit to help. I'm not not even pushing it and still getting a scrape. Some bikes are just setup lower...

Yes. When you want to ride fast in the twisties you are going to have to lean with your body and keep the low ground clearance scoot ( I ride a FB Lo)
as upright as possible.

Bikes with more ground clearance CAN prolong poor riding habits, I speak from experience. On several different bikes. Dragging pegs on a sportbike is no better than dragging boards on a cruiser

Scraping is never OK. If you look like a goon sport riding a cruiser then so be it. If you ever come into a corner too hot and save it by hanging off instead of panicking, scraping, braking- you will become a believer.

It comes down to motorcycle riding - it takes priority over anything and anyone...

I scrape occasionally, usually at low speeds in town. I would prefer not to, but I listen to them and use them as a warning to stop leaning.

Love scraping the floorboards........even my wife is getting used to it too. Nothing like keeping a nice speed through a turn and gettin down low. Not too low to bottom out mind you, but low enough to feel great.

I've got about 70k on my 03 and my floorboards are worn completely to the rubber insert in the rear and are down to nothing almost halfway up the bottom. I'll snap a photo later. My dad has around 150k on his and the floorboards tell the story also...

I'll be ordering the 19" Banana Boards here shortly and I'm hoping to not drag them as much due to the slight upward angle the boards have.

Isn't that because your fishtails hit first?

I work at a machine shop and I talked to one of the machinist the other day about raising my floorboards about 1/2" to give me a little more clearance. I probably need to slow down on this bike anyway though. I have a triumph speed triple to play in the twisties. I will be taking the Heritage Classic to the North GA mountain July 4th weekend for the first time and it will be hard on me to watch my buddies leave me on their sport bikes but I will do my best. LOL At 66 years old it is probably time to slow down a little, NOT
