HeY Alain, here's a reply to your PM to me regarding fitting Exile shotguns on your Rocker.

The easy part is the bracket, just need to cut off the offset &I weld the 2 pieces flush to each other. The hard part is bending & re-attaching the crankcase vent line as it won't allow the popes to fit. I cut the line, used a 3/8" pipe bender to re end the line & used automotive splice to reconnect. I also didn't like the 2 pipes together on my Rocker so I cut 3" off the lower pipe to give it the staggered look.

I had the 2in2 pipes same as you are running, the Exile pipes are way better sound, don't have that exhaust drone while cruising, but when you crack the throttle they are loud. Plus I get so many comments on the fat look. I liked them so much I put the Russel's drag pipes on the Bones.

Thanks for the detailed info rockerz. You're a good man.

Bad news on having to re-bend the crank case line. I don't really want to mess with that.

You have the shotgun pipes correct (the ones that come together one on top of the other)?

I know Russel has another set of monster pipes he sells. The front header is the same as yours but the back header doesn't come down to meet the front header like yours. It stops in the middle of the frame and goes straight back.

Like micahop used to have on his rocker (see pic).

I wonder if the version micahop had on his rocker would interfere with the crank case vent line ?? Are you able to tell from this picture ?

Michapop had to cut away part of the upper pipe where it's double walled to clear the oil bag on the Rocker so it's a lot more work than fitting the Shotguns.

It's not that bad with the vent line as no oil in it. Just need a set of benders to make a nice job of it.

Another simple solution would be to cut the line at both ends & splice with stainless steel braided line clamping it to the remaining steel line that you cut. This was my second solution I didn't succeed with the first.

Let me know if you need any more pics or info. In my opinion the shotguns are worth it.

I rememeber he said he had to do some modifying but I wasn't aware that micahpop had to do any cutting to the actual pipes. I wish he wasn't M.I.A. So I could ask him some questions. I'm gonna go search and see if he made a thread about installing those pipes.

The shotguns do look nice on your rocker man. I emailed Russell and he said they are out of stock on those pipes for a few weeks. So I have some time to get my game plan together. Replacing that vent line with a braided hose is a good alternative.

Sucks that HD stopped making the rocker because parts, like exhausts, are going to become harder find.
I'm gonna go do some more research. I'll hit you up if I need some more info.

Thank you.

Alright, alright, alright.

Narrowing down my exhaust choices to having Tyler at Sikpipes building me a custom setup.

I'm thinking on going with something like what's in this picture. I like how in this design the front pipe runs over the rear pipe. I know that this design has been around for a while. But I don't recall seeing the front pipe slide over the rear pipe like in this picture. I always see the front pipe run back under the rear one.

Sikpipes has some serious designs but I didn't want to get anything too crazy.

This picture is from a company in Austria. Their prices are high though, in the range of $2k. Too rich for my blood. Id spring for an exile open primary if I was gonna spend that much dough.

What you guys think about this design on my ride?

Right now the plan is to have him paint them black and put some tips on them.

Something like these! Whatever tips I end up going with would be a polished finish.
