Ive looked into the 57h. And thats where im a little torn. Either the 57h or the tw 222.
I like the lowend grunt the 222 has and seems tovrun out decently. The 57h kicks in a little later then i want i think? Looks to be around 2500 or so for the 57

Don't overthink it. Throw in an Andrews 37 or 26 and it will run a lot better than the stock cam. Change your pipes and it will likely be even better.

I've got Andrews 54 on my 103 Ultra and it runs very well something like 94/106. Maybe not the best numbers but it pulls hard 1 and 2 up with a real flat torque curve.

heres some info on andrews cams.

http://www.andrewsproducts.com/sites...2014-page4.pdf

I spent several months studying cams back in 08. Ended up with some Andrews 26h's..

They are not the best performance cams you can get,, but if you want Great TQ between 1800 and 5200. They will put a smile on your face if you just do stg1 mods and a cam..

my results netted me a drop of oil temp of about 15*. over 20% more TQ at 2000 and 3-5 more mpg..plus they are easy on you top end..

if you want to see my dyno sheets..here they are, they are in the 1st post when I started the Dyno for Softail thread back in 08..

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...-softails.html.

There are lots of cams to pick from.. just have to match you need of one..

I'll add I've been checking out the Woods 222's.. though they look good on paper I've read several threads in here and other place's that some say they are a little soft in the 1800 - 2500 rpm area... That surprised me because of their timing numbers...

Thanks for the replies. Im really quite torn between the 222 or the 57h. Mines a 2012, didnt the new bikes get a little bump in compression that mine wouldnt have?
Everything ive read the 222 sounds great. But i do see 4700 rpm on occasion. But want low end jump out and go power

How can you tell without disassembling what cam you may have? I have an 05 Night Train, previous owner did a lot of work on it, and i get a lot of compliments on how it sounds. I just don't how to figure it out.
