Any opinions on the best looking/functional windshield for a breakout?
Well, the general opinion here is not to add a windshield - but then, you know what they say about opinions!
I added the HD detachable sport windshield to my BO, so on short rides I remove it. Here's an old picture with the sport shield on my BO. I had to re-radius the light cutout when I changed to a 7" light bucket, and I have fangs attached for cool weather riding.

I don't get the point of telling someone not to do it. I want to add a tourpak on mine too just for long rides and make them detachable for the shorter rides or for when I reach my destination. It won't look great, but what do I care of looks if it gets me where I'm going with the gear I need? Most of those saying not to do it wouldn't ride a breakout as far as I push it anyway. I do appreciate the supportive feedback that actually "get it".

Check out Windvest, they make a sweet windshield that works and it does not stick out on a bike. 2 guys I ride with have them, one on a wide glide and the other on a deluxe
Thanks! This year I've got lots more time to ride, so I'm going with a heated jacket and gloves to extend my riding down below 20 degrees. I also add hand guards in the Winter. I may not have money for gas, but I'll be warm!
As far as I see the owner hasn't been active here for a year, but does anyone know what type of the bar is on the photo? After a ride through bad weather I am ready to give up and to buy windshield, but stock drag bar of breakout is my second pain...
