Anyone's speedo needle do this?

So I noticed today that the back side of my speedos needle scratched the lable paint off the inside of the gauge... Leaving paint particles. Anyone else seen this? It's an annoying eye sore!

I've never looked that close to mine but it makes me wonder. Have you taken it to a shop?

No i havent, though i have thought about it. I'm afraid that something like that wouldn't get any attention for repair...

Mine looks exactly like that. My speedo got stuck at 30mph or so one day. I turned the ignition to acc and it forced the needle back down to 0 and now the face looks like that.
