Default Hand shields

I hate to say it but the schools are starting up and the apples are turning red so here in the Midwest it will be turning cold sooner than later.

Unlike some Midwesterns I don't store my bike in the winter and try to get on it for at least a hour or so whenever it gets above 50 degrees.
Over the last few years I think I've been able to ride at least an hour every month even though some rides are a bit less enjoyable than others.

What I'm looking at is adding hand shields for winter riding.
Now before I get slammed for having them, I'm not looking for opinions on whether or not to use them, I've already decided that.

So for those who do have/use them, any vendors of choice?
I'm looking for clear ones.

Thanks, I've read this thread but they are black

I agree with a lot of opinions that they are not the most attractive hence the reason I'm looking for a clear set.

This was the only clear one I could find. Not the most attractive addition to a motorcycle but it is likely functional. It is compatible with your '09 Heritage.

Not knowing what you ride, why not consider a detachable fairing that covers the hands?

My Klock Werk windshield provides better protection than a fairing other than the hands.
Also there's the cost factor.

The only thing about the clear ones is that they are usually acrylic, whereas ours (and I believe JD's) are steel. Little more protection from rocks and debris in addition to the elements.

I think they would be great, and do exactly what you want. I would spend the extra and get the chrome ones..... but that's just me.

Why not go all the way and just clip on a cheap removable batwing for the few times during winter that you really need the protection.

I have the National Cycle ones. I put them on to extend my season a little. They dont look too bad but not good. I take them off as soon as I can. They do add about 10* of comfort.

I put a set of these on my Breakout and they did keep my fingers a bit warmer last Winter. This year I'm going with heated gloves & jacket too.
