On my bike, it put 2/3 more load on the hydraulic and the micro switch. I have see them last forever in cars. My Harley is working on the third Hydraulic one and second micro one in 50K but I do a lot of city driving now. I put a LED in the taillight and that seemed to help. For my signals to work required resistors and that just added load back, so i did not do LED there. There is not relay in system for brakes and taillights.
Ah, I see, haven't run across that problem yet and I always add the r/b/t adapter on all my scoots. I do swap the 1156 for a BA15, tho. Running a visor red lens with the 1156 was just too bright, the BA15 toned it down where it blends nicely with the tombstone brake light. Cutting the amperage in half is maybe the key or I'm just dang lucky, huh? Thnx for the reply.
