Default Finally Pulled trigger on Pit Bull Lift

I've had it narrowed down between the Pit Bull and the J&S for about two years. I finally said the hell with it and went with the Pit Bull because of the higher lift. They're on sale by the way, $90 off. That makes them cheaper than the J&S.

$399 plus about $77 or so for shipping. I had heard some dealers sold these - I was trying to save on shipping- but none of the dealers in my area had any for sale so I went ahead and bit the bullet and paid for shipping.

Default I own one

The other lift I am sure is a good one. I purchased a pit bull. It is large and heavy. It takes up a lot of room so some out of the box thinking can be warranted.....

It amazes me when people spend big money on their bike than buy a dangerous tool. You do not spend money on good tools, they are investments.

J&S seems to be designed better after seeing a comparison video of the two. The pitbull has some issues with the castors that make rolling it a pain with weight on it. I'm glad I saw the video.

Good point. The main reason I got the Pitbull over the J&S is the pitbull raises the bike 25 inches as opposed to 18 for the J&S.

To me, that's a big difference.

Those youtube videos are the exact reason I went with a J&S lift over anything else. Believe me, after shipping, duty, brokerage etc. to Canada, the price was a hard pill to swallow! It really is a great jack though. My garage floor has a brushed finish on the concrete and it moves the bike around with no problems and no wobbles. It also lifts the bike plenty high enough to do whatever work you want to do. I've used it to adjust the rear shocks in on my softail and no complaints. I can also sit on a stool comfortably and work on the bike without getting a sore back or shoulders.
