Got my Dakota Digital gauge installed today. Man this thing is SWEET! Nestled right above the blackline dash just looks awesome. Straight forward, simple plug and play install. I got the black bezel and blue led. It was a toss up between the red and blue led for the gauge but I'm glad I settled on the blue. Looks perfect.

Looks good. Sounds like you got a good deal on it too. Did you have to set the mileage or does the ecm do it when you hooked it up? I assume it has a gas gauge, rpm?

When I got to the part to set the mileage it was already correct from reading my bike. Just had to confirm it. Yes it has a low fuel level alert (which you can adjust to your liking) and also has a miles to empty readout like the factory gauge had. RPM is on the top in a bar style readout and also gives you the option to have it readout in number form right below the MPH readout. Where it reads my mileage on bike (729) it would show you your rpm. This thing has a lot of stuff. Can read your voltage, cylinder head temp with warnings for both. Gear readout. And both adjustable. 1/4 mile time, top speed recall, high rpm recall, 0-60 time, hours meter. Thing is loaded and looks slick. So glad I choose this instead of the digital/analog HD gauge.

Well after many hours and days pondering which way I want to go to get my cam install and tune done. I've decided to let my Indy do the work and dyno it. He will be replacing the chrome rocker boxes, pushrod covers, cam cover, primary cover, derby cover and top transmission cover to gloss black. And sense he is going in from the top to replace rocker boxes I'm having him install a .030 cometic head gasket. Cams going in are Andrews 57h. Reusing factory pushrods and installing s&s lifters. And obviously Torrington inner cam bearings. Guy knows his stuff and is a great tuner so I am faithfull he will set me up with a great running bike. Making a 3 1/2 hour drive just so he can get his hands on it. I was in between going this route or just doing the cam install and letting fuel Moto set me up a tune and then auto tune it with my PV2. Because my tuner tunes with the TTS I was trying to avoid buying a new tuner. I'm sure I will be more than happy with the results. Only part that sucks is having bought 2 high dollar tuners. Live and learn I guess. At least I'll have my choice of both tuners to use in the future should I ever need one or the other lol. I'm delivering the bike to his shop on Friday and he said I could pick it up the following weekend. Being that I work and live that far away. Easier to take a Saturday off instead of during the week. Pictures and results will follow as long as new ones of my day maker and custom dynamic turn and tail lights.
