no kidding - that screw is a blessing in disguise. ditch the crap tires. get a 120/70 up front too, you will be amazed how much better the bike turns and responds. you going to do a tank lift now that the riser extenders are on?

Do any of you guys run the front metzeler 120/70 tire? I'm on revzilla getting ready to order the set (front & rear). I've got the correct rear tire, but the label for the front is throwing me off a little. They have the size listed as

120/70H21OE 62H.

What is the "H" and the "OE" for in the description? Just want to make sure I order the correct one. It is the only front 120/70 for a 21" rim that they have listed.
Also, what does the "62H" stand for?

62 is the load rating...H is the speed rating. I'm running a V rated (higher speed rating) Metz. 880 Marathon rear 260, on the BO, so I'll get a 880 Marathon 120/70/21 V for the front, (which they do also make, easy to find on Amazon $160 +/-). What rear are you getting? Might want to make sure they match...not sure if Metz makes a H rated 260??

Does the 260 look wider?? Because it is installed on the same rim surely it wouldn't look any wider than the stock 240?

I was told by professional tire fitters at 3 different shops if you put a wider tire on a standard rim you are bowing your tire making your bike taller and tire is not sitting inside the rim lip properly.

Dude, if I remember correctly you posted those questions before and you got your answers quite a while ago

But again: 260 is wider than 240 and also looks wider! The Metzeler 260 is exactly 247mm wide mounted on the stock rim (at least on my bike). And yes, if the rim is not wide enough it will cause the tire to bow stronger. But the Metzeler 260 e.g. is cleared/certified to be used with the stock rim....so no issues here,

Ok, got it. Thanks. The rear is the Metz 260 it is V rated. I would like to get the matching Metz 880 front also. The only ones I found last night were all H rated at a 62 and 68 load rating. I'll have to look again, might have missed the V rated front tire.

Yes I understand about mounting a tire that is to big for the rim. But there are plenty of guys on here that have the Metz 260 on their breakout and rocker c with no negative effects. Only positive on ride and handling over the factory dunslop. Also like EagleRay noted, the Metz 260 is cleared overseas to be used on the breakout. So it's been tested and proven to be a safe tire to run.

Got my new tires ordered tonight. After some more searching around I found the matching set of metzeler 880 tires. BOTH front and rear are V rated (thanks for catching that earlier rocker b). Rear is the 260/40r18 and front is 120/70-21. Should be here next week sometime. What's even better is I found the set for $332 shipped to my door. Dennis Kirk had the rear at $190 and some change. And bought the front off of jet.com for $142 and some change. I got a coupon code sent in the mail yesterday for 15% off. That's a deal if you ask me. Looking forward to getting them on.
